After School Care
After School programmes (sometimes called OST or Out-of-School Time) serve children and youth of all ages, and encompass a broad range of focus areas including academic support, mentoring, youth development, arts, and sports and recreation. The activities in which children and youth engage while outside of school hours are critical to their development.
High quality After School programmes generate positive outcomes for youth including improved academic performance, classroom behavior, and health and nutrition. Communities and businesses also benefit when youth have safe and productive ways to spend their time while their parents are at work.
Evergreen Learning Centre (ELC) After School programme is designed for children or students enrolled in other schools to enhance their creativity and prepare them ahead of classes. Students are guided in their homework and supported with the diagnostic tools needed to excel in their various schools.
Students are also given the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as board games, STEM projects and art & craft. More clubs will be introduced next term.
ELC After School programme runs from 3 – 6pm Mondays to Fridays. This is to accommodate schedules of different schools and to ensure maximal subscription.
